Melissa's Story
Melissa was born in Aberdeen, Maryland. She has been married to Alec Lloyd Richardson for 42 years. Her schools include Arundel High School, Arundel Junior High School. She later attended Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, NC, Appalachian State University, Boone, NC, and, Fayetteville Technical CC, Fayetteville, NC (Dental Hygiene). She worked at various dental offices in North Carolina. After living in Blue Ridge, Virginia for over 21 years, Melissa recently moved back to North Carolina to live closer to her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson.

h school in 1972, and I regretably never kept up with my friends in Maryland. In retrospect, this was more of a defense mechanism at the time. Now that we are all getting older, it has been nice to re-kindle old friends and old memories."
Melissa is a committed follower of Jesus Christ.
One of Melissa's favorite quotes is: "But, you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the Excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His Marvelous Light; for you once were not a people, but, now, you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but, NOW, YOU HAVE RECEIVED MERCY."
