Melissa's Story
Life
I live in Seattle, got two kids, a job. What else do you wanna know? :)
School
All of my teachers inspired me in one way or another, the strict ones gave me strength and pushed me to find things in myself I didn't know was there, even though I didn't want to, the more lenient ones helped me to believe in myself and encouraged me. I believe that if you try you can learn something from everyone that is involved in your life even for a short amount of time.
If I could do it over again, I would. I have learned alot about myself and life. I don't regret a lot of things, although there are a few things I would definetely change. I have become a better stronger person and have been able to do a lot of things and meet a lot of wonderful people.
My happiest moments had to be the ski trips at TFCA, and the senior trip to Seattle. There were so many things. I still laugh no matter where I'm at when I think about it it's the small things like 'the coconut sounds of their heads banging together secretly excited John', the race to the ferry, the crazy night in Canada staying at the James Bay Inn, Kim & Julie licking all the crackers, staying in Puyallup even though none of us could say the name, and the rain. I swore I would never move to Seattle, but that is exactly ...Expand for more
where I went, and I absolutely love it.
My craziest moments weren't usually at school.
College
My roommates were definetely unique, but they would say the same about me, they were great! The cafeteria was ok, good place to waste time, and hang out with friends. I spent many a night in the computer lab trying to crank out German, French, and psychology papers. Whew am I glad I don't have to do that anymore.
At UW the best times had to be German class, with Phil & Brian. Hey guys!! And my trip to Germany was great too. Of course Genetics class with Darren, we were lucky we didn't get kicked out we were always goofing around and talking. And who can forget Human Sexuality class and psych stats with Susan. I had many other classes with great people. I really enjoyed my years at UW.
At CSI it was Leann Collins class and the trips to Poland, I have so many great memories and pictures. And Marybeth's French class was great. In fact I liked all my classes at CSI the teachers were all great.
Military
I was in Civil Air Patrol that was enough for me. I had a great time, learned a lot. Met a lot of new and interesting people-the commercials don't lie. Thought about the military a few times never went in. I respect and admire all my friends who did, and many did.
