Melissa's Story
Life
All is well in Nova Scotia. I am (still) married - we are almost at 8 months now! My husband is working and we are moving into a beautiful apartment in June/July - we have to wait for it to be finished being built! :) We have two cats - and no children (atm) but we are looking into buying a mastiff! There is a lot going on right now and it's a bit stressful but I'm loving it in Nova Scotia and everything is going so great.
School
School was alright for me. It was hard because I was struggling with challenges at home. If I could do everything all over again I wouldn't have put up with the treatment from people who were supposed to be my friends. Looking back - all the drama that happened with my friends and our little "group" was so frivilous and immature - but I guess that was because we were teenagers. The best times I remember was going to Sudbury and shopping with Michelle. Prom was wonderful. I feel bad for the things I may have said or done to certain people. However if everything hadn't happened the way it happened I wouldn't be where I am today - Married to the greatest guy on earth and very happy with life!
College
I went to Loyalist college. I had the best time ever. College was wonderful. I met a lot of people and we had a blast. f ECE <- horrid and General Arts and Sciences. Giving up on finding something I enjoyed I dropped out of General Arts and tried my hand at working for awhile.
The craziest dates I had were one guy who after 3 dates bought be a $600.00 ring and tried to give it me. There was the guy who was into bondage and pokemon (freak.) Then there was the guy who lied and said he was 26 - turns out no one knows exactly how old he was since he has been telling people for years that he was 26 - who took me on a date to see a movie in a competely different and then drove me to some remote area and wouldn't tell me where we were - as a joke. Then there was the guy from the military who was from Montreal - he was sweet but his idea of fun was sky diving - military style. Of course there was the guy who I thought was crazy and looked like a murder but a friend convinced me to give him a chance - and what a chance that was .... 6 years later...:) married.
Workplace
Still technically an employee at a call centre - although I am still on sick leave. I most likely will not be returning there (since it's over 1000km away) and I am probably going back to school. In the meantime - although I don't need to work (husband makes enough) - when I am well I think I will be too bored so I will be getting a job. Then going to school - and possibly working at the same time. With his job we can pretty much live where ever we want in Nova Scotia - so we may move closer to a better college or university.
