Melissa's Story

Life My how time flies! Has it been ten years already? WOW! Well, my life has gone all over the place in the last decade. My career choices changed from finance and project management to enlisting in the army to marrying a marine(yes that is a career choice!) and getting out of the army to nursing which has me back in school now. I am married to a wonderful man and we travel whereever the government tells us to go. He is a Marine Corps Officer and spends quite a bit of time on the move. I have two daughters, now 10 and 6. There is a third child planned, but not until after I finish nursing school. We have two 8 month old puppies (1/2 Neo Mastiff - 1/2 Pit Bull) which will suffice for the time being. I am a travel junky and go anywhere I can whenever time permits. I love new places and new people. I've gone from rock climbing in...Expand for more
Arizona to skiing in Colorado, and then back to the east coast again. I love anywhere tropical and have a bad habit of taking a trip to the carribean at least once a year. Some women shop - I prefer the beach. Fortunately, my husband is supportive of my only vice! I enjoy spending time with new people which is a good thing being in the military, and I love the outdoors. I spend a fair amount of time in the gym (to balance the insanity) and an even fairer amount of time on studies(the insanity!) - although I've taken this spring semester off to spend with my husband before he deploys in March. I also spend a lot of time at the beach in the warmer months. My girls love it and it's fifteen minutes from my front door. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again and catching up on all of the various journeys our lives have taken us on...
