Melody's Story
Life
In school I wanted to be a great actress - now I do all my acting in the courtroom. I'm an attorney married to musician and I've been in AR since 9/79. I REALLY miss the beach!! 2007 was the hardest year of my life. The youngest of my four children was a passenger in the vehicle of a reckless driver. He is now in heaven with the granddaughter (I now have 3 grandchildren) I lost to SIDS almost 17 years ago.

Losing Ethan has been the most difficult "thing" I have ever had to endure. I say "thing" because there isn't a word that fits. It takes all of the energy I can possibly muster just to get to work every day. The numb depression is indescribable. I don't want to be in this hole but I can't seem to find my way out. I have other children that I dearly love and I enjoy being with but it is so easy just to hide myself in my room and give in to the extreme fatigue.
I went on a cruise with High School friends in January 2010 and had a ball! It was such a wonderful furlough from reality! I can't wait to do it again.
Workplace
I am an Attorney for the Prison System AND for the Inmates. I've had other careers that I thought I would never quit so there's no guarantee I will stay at this one although I think I would. My dream job would be to travel around the country and write.
