Melody's Story
I'm just now finding out that I never really knew what everyone else thought of me. I guess I wasn't really worried about it. So now when I hear stories about me back then, I am always surprised. So I will clear things up.
Then - I was so shy and never thought I was as pretty as my friends or as smart.
Now - Not shy, just reserved. And I think I turned out alright. Aging well, like a fine wine. :)
Then - Apparently people thought I was a wild child.
Now - I am probably wilder now than I ever was back then. I had cancer in my twenties and decided life is too short to play it safe.
Then - Never thought I would finish school, much less go to college.
Now - ...Expand for more
I finished. I have a Masters degree and I am a 3rd grade teacher.
Then - A lot of people thought I would end up in jail, including me.
Now - I ended up joining the military and after that became a federal police officer, both of which took me around the world.
Then - I always seemed to have a boyfriend.
Now - Single, I have friends but rarely date. I was married a long time ago and have two beautiful daughters in college.
Then - Couldn't wait to get out of the old neighborhood.
Now - Back in the old neighborhood by choice.
Like I said, I never realized what people thought about me so if you have anything interesting to offer, I'd really like to hear it.
