Mendi's Story
Life
After highschool, I went to CSU for a year then attended OSU until graduation. I worked for the Dean of Research performing and helping to develop teratology/environmental assays while I persued my degree. After many enjoyable years in school, my advisor encouraged me to graduate with a degree in Zoology (it was that or hang around for a few more years :)).
I knew my husband from highschool; we actually worked at the 2nd St. McDonald's together (which is now gone). We didn't start dating until college, however, but we haven't looked back since. nd having the time of my life through work that I really enjoy.
Wade and I have two lovely girls born in 2003 and 2005. I can't believe we waited so long to bring this kind of joy into our lives. There have also been some very long nights but all in all these latter years have been the most fulfilling.
I am looking forward to re-connecting to old friends at the reunion. I hope I am able to go. --Mar 2007
School
I think I was mostly absent during my years in highschool. I was going through the motion. I never occured to me what I should have been doing besides drinking on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights; seeing Rocky Horror over and over. Oh, well, I got through it and had a good time even though it wasn't very productive.
The most inspirational teacher for me was Mr. Thomas. I never really understood algebra until he showed me. I also remember that my history teacher in the 9th grade, Mr Tontz I think, drank some during class from his thermos. That was the most boring class ever.
