Meredith's Story
HI, Guys, I am now an Inspector for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency in Québec, Canada. I came to Canada in 1976, got married to a man from Montreal, I have two children. My son is an auxilary nurse and my daughter is a call center employee contacting Americans. My husband died in 1997, three weeks after getting my job and in 2005 I got remarried to a French-Canadian who has relatives in the U.S. I am going for my diploma with the University of Phoenix online in hospital administration, to help advancement in my career. I also attend, by correspondence, the University of Laval, Québec City, in the French language. I am taking courses in Food Hygiene there, a miniprogram for a certification. I have had many different things happen to me since we last met. I was the victim of a person who wanted to do me harm on several occasions but I am still here to share with you. I am glad to be alive. I praise God each day and share the gospel with my friends and family. I have a close online relationship with a high school friend I grew up with and am thankful for all my friends in the U.S. In Canada, I have a lot of church friends. I also have a wonderful loving christian husband who care...Expand for more
s for me and loves me tenderly. My family lives in three different states, of which I have visited all but one. I, during my life have visited many states, Florida twice, and 2 canadian provinces widely. I am interested in many things and pray for Americans in crisis. I try to keep up on current events in both countries, and world news. I like astronomy and geology. I live in a town that borders on the foothills of the Laurentien Mountains, so we get plenty of snow, but I have lived further north where there is more snow. I was a quiet person in school, very studious. I was burnt on the hand and wrist in Chemistry class. I was never chosen to play on teams in class, unless it was field hockey one of my fave sports. I loved archery and track + field. I spent a lot of time in the library reading and searching for family tree info. After school I helped my aunt with her ceramics classes or did housework for her. I also would start supper with my sister. I loved art class and even got my picture in the Messenger for a project I did. I went to Hillview Baptist Church where I was baptized. I participated in the choir, the youth group, and attended church school when I was younger there.
