I'm retired from 33 years at Illinois Bell(AT&T) as a telecommunications specialist working in the Springfield Main Central office. Since then I worked as a Chiropractor's Assistant for 3 or 4 years and as a cashier at Walmart for over 4 years. I loved working for the Chiropractor, but Walmart is not a bad place to be as a retirement job. The people are entertaining for the most part and I felt it was a ministry for me to try to brighten someone's day and I did pray for my customers and my coworkers.
I'm glad to be totally retired now. I think I'm ready to spend my time as a wife, grandmother, great grandmother, & volunteer.".
