Michael's Story
Life
Recently, Semi-Retired. Hard to get advertising out of my blood. Completed my re-structuring tasks with a major international publishing firm. This 4 year process was both rewarding and difficult. Made many changes to industry directions and evolved from print to digital, custom publishing and events.
Now running my own Publishing and Advertising consultant firm ..,working with several media and research firms in the Greater Chicago and Midwest areas.
Most of my career has been in the advertising and publising industry here in Chicago. (The Worlds greatest city) My two children Eric (now married and soon to have a child) has a bachlors degree in Advertising and Graphics and works for the Casino's here in Aurora producing advertising and promotions.
My daughter Ashlee (now married) they gave us a grand child (Liam Michael) in Sept of 2012. she graduatedyear Ill State. Major Kinesiology and Sports Medicine. She is a Musician (guitar) Beauty Queen (Miss Teen Illinois)
Currently runs her own Personal Training facility in Pontiac IL. Her husband farm over 4,000 acres of crop land and run the regional farm insurance and casualty company in Pontiac IL

In my free time I ride road bikes (bicycles) 2,000 miles a year all over the US. Our love of Wisconsin takes most of my bike rides all over the State.(safest place to ride) Wife thinks I have too many toys (Klein Quantum Pro and a Cannondale R400, Trek Madone 5.1, Trek Madone 6) Also manage one of the largest music collections in the world -having collected since the 50's

Attended and completed marketing courses at several colleges in Wis. NY and IL. Best college experience was while self employed in Manitowoc Wis where I earned a STREET MBA
Workplace
Over 30 years in Advertising Sales. 18 of those years as an independent Representative (Have Gun will Travel) Consulting with publishers on Ad sales, Territory Management and Magazine Design.
Had a 10 year stint with a Publishing company with several reorganizing tasks. Completed my last 4 year stint with BNP Media as a Group Publisher, Key Accounts Territory Manager and Sales Manger on 4 leading US B2B magazines. Probably, the most rewarding career experince ever.
Now have semi retired and own and operate my own independent media consulting firm.
