Michael's Story
Here is a thumbnail sketch of my life since High School at good old G.M.C.:
1977-1981 - Went to North Georgia College...graduated...commissioned and went on active duty in September. OBC at Aberdeen Proving Grounds & Redstone Arsenal.
1982 - Platoon leader/motor officer 8th Ordnance company, Ft. Bragg, NC. My 109-man platoon supported the post ammunition supply point. 1983 - Married my college sweetheart Kathy. 1985 - medically discharged from the Army in January...Got serious with God.
(You may recall that my Dad and 3 older brothers were all career Army officers. I was raised to be one too. Now the question in life was: "What am I going to be when I grow up?") eans Baptist Theological Seminary(NOBTS). 1989 - first son Joshua was born.
1990 - Called to pastor my 1st Church - Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church just outside of Milledgeville, 1992 - daughter Kendra was born. 1996 - Our second son Jack was born...called to my 2nd church Cross Roads Baptist Church in Carnesville, GA. So, after nearly 8 years I left to accept a call to another church. 2003 - Accepted a call to pastor Cheohee Baptist Church in Tamassee, SC. 2006 - Called to Rich Hill Baptist Church in a bedroom community of Lancaster, SC and Charlotte, NC. 2007 - Oldest son Joshua was diagnosed with cancer. After 7 months of treatments praise God he is healed. 2009 left Rich Hill, was underemployed while starting my own ministry. Returned to the pastorate in May 2010 as pastor of Corinth Baptist Church in New Ellenton, SC.
