Michael's Story
Life
Well, where to start, that is just about the hardest question yet, I am mariied second time around, first time was just young and lust, second time was for real. Lisa, my wife, and I have been married for 14 years and have three beautiful daughters, Ashley,Katelynn, and Amberlynn. They are 12, 8, and 6 yrs old. One of each I say, when asked about any kids, 1 blonde, 1 brunette, and 1 redhead! All blue eyed! I have been a produce manager for 10 years now, but before that, I was in the fishing retail market for 12 years. Fishing is still a pasion for me, now it's a mixture of family, computers and fishing. But allot of family and friends will tell you that I am a work-a-holic! Many times, almost daily, I will put extra time(free time) at work, as some say I also am a perfectionists. The artistic talents that I had in school are pretty much non-existant, no need for it in todays world.
My kids do keep me busy, while my wife is a stay-at-home Mom. We bought our fist home almost 2 years ago in Garden City area, nice and quiet area, close to all schools, from k though to 12. All in walking distance! My job took us to Dauphin a few years ago...Expand for more
, for a period of almost four years. We are now back in the 'PEG'. We are a typical family, 5 members, 4 bdrm home, mini-van, and unforunately, did not yet get to travel outside the province much. Medical expenses have been our "ball and chain" in the last 6 years or so. We love my kids to death, they suffer from different forms of Autism. But we don't let that stop them from doing anything they want to do. Ashley is our whiz kid in the household, at twelve yrs old, she speaks, reads, and writes in three launguages. I am so prroud of her!
I don't see much of anyone from Elmwood, Roman, a few times, Don Palen, just a few yrs after grad, ...............thats it.
It would be nice to see if any reunion plans hatch in the near future. I would not be surprised at how much everyone has changed, not physically, but thier personalities. Most would probably be a total opposite image they had in school. The bullies would be tame, shy and maybe even become "followers" rather than "leaders" The ones that would hide in corners during school, would become speakers, head of....., or even "the one everybody wants to be"?
Who knows?
