Michael's Story
After High School I went to college and earned a degree in anthropology which was focused on Maya Indian Archaeology. While working at Cerros in Belize, a pre-classic Maya site in Northern Belize in 1977, Guatemala declared war on Belize and so I decided to go back to school and go to pre med. I spent several more months in Mexico and then began to work on a degree in Biology. I was then accepted to medical school in Mobile, Alabama and became an ER physician for several years. ternal Medicine in my own office for 5 years. I was elected Chief of Staff at my hospital for 2 terms and after playing politics for 4+ years while practicing as a Hospitalist, I quit and took a job practicing Urgent Care Medicine which is much closer to my ER roots and a whole lot more fun with less political BS. I am Married to a retired Senior Judge in Georgia and she currently practices Law in Gainesville, Georgia. She has Twins who I have known since they were 18 months old and they are now 26 and working.
