michael's Story

After Wilson, I went to college at IUP but I couldn't figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up so I dropped out in my senior year and joined the Marine Corps. I ended up as a sergeant and was stationed in Hawaii for a few years. I traveled a lot with the Marines in the South Pacific and saw and experienced so may things I never would have had the opportunity to see otherwise. After the Marines I went back to school at IUP. at later became Enron. Got out of there just in time I guess. We had a couple of kids and moved back to PA. We settled in New Castle which is a small town just outside of Pittsburgh. After working with a couple of companies here I started a scrap metal recycling company, New Castle Recycling, Inc. Been here about 14 years now and doing OK. My wife and I are about to celebrate our 32nd anniversary. My daughter is a nurse practitioner and my son is a chemical engineer. They both live and work in Pittsburgh so we see them fairly often. Life is good right now!
