Michael's Story
Life...
I went to the U.S. Army for twelve years.
Traveled the world some, finally ended up down south in Alabama as a Police Officer (Alabama was the last Army duty station I had. I was offered a job as a Police Officer and also trained SWAT Teams.
Moved to Florida - I started with a small Investment Banking firm and went to school at night while in training. Eventually I got a better job with one of the top five Investment banks in the U.S. as a Financial Advisor (Stock Broker) and worked my way up to Quantum Portfolio Manager, and got a taste of what big Money can do to a person's life.
If your not spiritually strong to take on the devil's tactics, he will destroy all God gives you. I went through some real humbling years, I reverted back to the inner core of who I really am. I was raised in the inner city of north newark, a strong catholic household, an alter boy, communion, confirmation, catholic school, etc. If you have it in you from rearing, you can find it in crisis to guide you.
As I have gotten older I have realized the mistakes that I have committed throughout life ( peoples feelings hurt, passed up opportunities, callings, etc). Sometimes remorse is a higher price than punishment itself. If I only Knew then what I know now - the famous saying.
I am married with two children Anthony& Matthew. Most of my time is family focused and business driven. I feel that sometimes we complicate our own lives; the one thing that I have learned in all these years is that oneÂs health, religion, family, spouse and chi...Expand for more
ldren take the lead role in oneÂs life. If that ever becomes unbalanced, a personÂs life will display it.
I have been blessed to have had access to material things that most people could only dream of, and realized money is not all in life, that was probably one of the best lessons.
I learned that when you break it all down. Life is simpleÂ
.love the people that love you, don't hurt them, appreciate the people that God puts in your life even if its for a brief time, learn from all your mistakes, its ok to make mistakes as long as you try to make good, no one human is exempt from committing mistakes and always try to help your fellow human.
I donÂt know why I came across this classmate site today. It's rarely a quiet day at my company and I sat down and typed this out. Why? You got meÂ

A little story to think about:
I had a person in my life that was spiritually balanced, she gave me a little picture frame as a gift one day, at that time in my life, it had very little value - only materialistic meaning.
It was a nice frame and it dressed up my office well. It said " You can accomplish more in one hour with God than one lifetime without him"
Today, fifteen years later that little frame sits in my office. At times I sit and look out the window and think back on it all. The only one thing that stays true in my mind is; that little frame was the key to all of life's lessons and I had it in my hands all along. Today it's my only true valuable materialistic possession.
Best wishes to everyone. God Bless Michael
