Michael's Story
Life
I goofed off for a few years before starting USC in '84, graduating in '87. While at USC I was a member of the Army ROTC unit and when I graduated I was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. I met my wife at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. I came back to USC for a MasterÂs degree, finishing that up in 2000. Just started our second consecutive tour in Germany
We have three girls, ages 12, 10 and 7.
School
Goofed off way to much, wish I had taken things a bit more seriously, but then I might not be where I am today. Ya just never know....
College
My freshman year was the best three years of my life.

in 84 I had spent 6 years in the real world and knew that college would be my last chance to just have fun. I think I found a good middle ground between study and play. I messed around with some of my friends and acted like I didn't work hard, but I really did have to study a pretty fair amount to keep my grades up.
Granted there were a couple of classes I blew off (theory) but for the most part, I had to work hard.
Those of you who think I am full of it, here is my confession: I would go to Pappy's on study breaks and call you just to maintain my party aura. I would have a beer and then head back to the library. Had you fooled, didn't I! ;-)
