Quick synopsis: Air Force brat, moved around a lot.... Spent formative years in Derby, KS (grades 2-8). Got in lots of trouble, but had lots of fun and good friends. Moved to Valdosta, GA prior to 9th grade and lived there until right after graduating High School (yeah, on time!). Moved to Brunswick, GA for a short time and ultimately ended up in the U.S. Navy for eight years. Of course boot camp, A school at Lowry AFB, C schools in Norfolk and Key West. My first assignment was on the USS NASSAU (LHA-4). Spent a couple of years onboard "learning" lots of lessons about life. And I'm talking about lessons such as keeping your mouth shut, acting responsibly and things like that. I'm not saying I learned all those lessons, but I did spend time "learning" them, or at least the consequences. Had some great guys in old OZ division back then. Transferred to Hawaii for a little over three years...Was stationed at FOSIC PAC back then. Really started the rest of my professional life there, because that is where/when I was introduced to computers. I had a great mentor there, a Chinese fella named "Wren" who ironically took me under his wing and taught me quite a bit.
