Michael's Story
I didn't accually graduate from Ranum in 1988, but i did attend school there in those times, Afterwards I was pretty much lost. for a good 2 years i didn't even think of the future. I spent most my time looking for ways to block out my emotions. But evenuntally after allot of nagging from my mom, I did manage to graduate from an alternative school in 1990 called High Plains. After that I decided to go full time into the military. Th US Marine Corpse Recruiter did the best talking. So i joined them.
I went to boot Camp at MCRD San Diego 2 weeks before Sadam Husain decided to attack Kuait. but nothing happend there as far as i was concerned, I never saw the middle east. The Military and i didn't get along all that well. They kept telling me what to do, and i kept telling them what they can do with themselfs. So i got out and headed back to Denver.
On May 27 1993 I went to a small party and met this cute lil strawberry blond. Her name Is Rachel and we r still together today, can't say our relationship has been all perfect, but I love her, and i Have no doubt on her love for me. Rachel already had 2 kids , Joshua, and Sarah from previous relationships, Together we have 2 more, Benjamin (03/22/1994), and Shannon (11/03/1996), for that i feel blessed.
In 1995 I headed to Collage at Metropoitan State Collage Denver. had to wait till then cause finacial aid wasn't availible due to my parents making too much to qualify but not enough to pay themselfs. i started with the intention of getting a Music Major, But upon futher research i found the only thig a music degree is good for is teaching, Me teach? i dont think so. Computers at that time were really starting to boom in the comercial market so i decided to major in Computer Managment and Information systems. AKA Networking
Out of Collage I got my first Comp job working for an outsourceing firm doing tech support for fortion 500 online services. was there 3 months and got promoted to help desk. That job went pretty good for a while untill one day i decide to cuss out one of the netwo...Expand for more
rk admin for being lazy. They decided they didn't like me anymore. lol I went from corprate job to so on and so forth untill my last computer job building network servers for a major comptuer company that went Kaplut about 5 years ago.
I am currently working for a moving company. Moving peoples stuff from house to house. the pay is crappy, but it is good exersize. i'm Definately in better shape now than i was in high school. Unfortionatly with the current economic situation in the U.S. the number of ppl hiring moving services has dropped considerably. Once again im going to have to look for an alternative for my Income. I'm thinking i need to find a way to start my own buisiness. I got a few idea's but they all seem to require the one thing i can't come up with much of.... Money.. I have considered going back to the whole corperate thing but i just can't bring myself to trust them enough to want to work for them
The whole music thing. those of u who remember me might remember that i play the Guitar. Over the years i have been in or tried to start several bands. but as my luck goes I was only able to find 1 person that had the same commitment to music that i do. Played the same style of music and did not have an ego from hell. You may have known him from the 7-11 at 72nd and Lowell. His Name was JJ, he worked there from 1988 to 1990. JJ was a true friend who helped me trough a hard period in my life. He past away in Oct 2006. I will miss him. The Ego issue was by far the biggest reason for band break ups. There would always seem to be at least one person trying to tell everyone how to play there instuments. ( this usually didn't happen till after 4 band practices or so ) I would end up telling them, " I don't see any platinum records with your name on the wall so you need to STFU". This would almost always lead to that person weeping and crying out the door like a little girl, and me laughing at them. I had one threaten to kick my ass but as soon as i steped up to him, he hid behind JJ. That was probly one of the funniest things that happened.
