Michael's Story
Michael Robinson is the Director of Product Architecture for Intercontinental Hotels Group, the worlds largest lodging company. This role emphasizes strategic thought leadership in the technology transformation of the core revenue systems for IHG to define, design and implement next generation solutions. Michael previously served as Vice President - Enterprise Architecture and Quality for Trisept Solutions, an industry leading vacation technology provider where he defined and implemented a vacation technology framework with superior availability and operability metrics. Michael had previously held positions at Sabre Holdings, Inc. where he served as Vice President ¿ Systems Engineering focusing on quality engineering practices and Vice President ¿ Product Development focusing on the implementation of Hotel and Car reservation technology supporting key revenue streams for Sabre. Michael was instrumental in defining and implementing the technical framework which allowed Sabre to process more than 20,000 messages per second.

Mr. Robinson earned a pre law degree from the University of Maryland in 1983. He then went on to complete a Masters in Information Systems from the University of Maryland in 1985.
He began his career with EDS in 1985 and worked for several different companies before joining Sabre in 1991. Michael led the Sabre Hotels area for several years and was instrumental in doubling it¿s revenues before increasing his focus to more enterprise architecture related aspects in 1997.
Michael was instrumental in defining the technical components of Sabre¿s Infrastructure Sale and subsequent Outsourcing to EDS in 2001. His technical expertise and communication abilities, combined with his strong legal background, involved him in many high profile projects and engagements.
Michael enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, playing games and just relaxing. His collections include over 600 sealed figures and vehicles from almost every movie since 1983 and more than 100,000 non-sports cards.
Michael is an avid reader and cursed with an insatiable quest for knowledge and addiction to books.
