I moved to Texas in 94, after getting divorced. I've since remarried, and we have a child, Xander, born in 1999. My wife, Lorelei, and I knew got to know each other in Madison, but didn't get married until we'd been in Texas for four years.
I'm an avid swing dancer, and find many opportunities for social dancing in Austin (and in other cities, when I travel). I have been a fencer, have been doing Taekwondo since 2006, and have recently (2023) gotten back into judo.
I've soloed in a small plane, but have not yet gotten my license - having kids will change...Expand for more

Workplace
I've only worked for a few different companies in my professional life. I started with Wisconsin Physicians Service (a large health insurance company) while I was in college. After moving to Austin, TX, in 1994, I spent two years working for American Physicians Service (the division I worked for wrote and sold a practice management system for clinics). In 1996 I went to work for NetSolve, a leader in the remote network management field. In 2004 we were acquired by Cisco Systems. I went to work for IBM in 2008, and in 2012, decided to go back to the startup world, working for Zenoss.
