Michael's Story
Current Life
My relationship with northern winter weather and with my "practice wife" ended in 1993. Florida was a great place to live, but I now run my own business in the desert southwest; my real wife is a Chemical Engineer. No kids (no thanks!) but we have 10 cats, 3 dogs, a 4-foot iguana, 5 alpacas and more than enough black widows and scorpions running around the "rancho del gato", although I hesitate to call them pets.
Edjumikation
I moved 13 times in the 18 years before graduating highschool, twice overseas. I suppose it gave me broad life experience, but it wasn't conducive to making close friends. That's less important now as an adult, but I do have regrets of losing track of old friends from the past. Drop me a note if you're reading this!
Go Gators! I'm an Alumni of the University of Florida and then the University of New Mexico.
Where have I lived? Oh, a couple places...

s been in environmental biology, biotech, and pharmaceutical research.
Hobbies
Breeding alpacas for the fiber (my wife spins, weaves, knits, felts). Collecting fossils, skulls, and articulating skeletons. I also like to collect and restore classic cars and ride my Harleys (see photo album).
For the other gearheads out there, I currently have:
'48 Chrysler Windsor Club Coupe (Highlander) - flathead straight six Spitfire engine, all original.
'59 Chevrolet Apache 5200 (longbed) - straight six engine, all original, awaiting restoration.
'66 Premiere (2 horse) - wood kick panels replaced with steel, otherwise all original; currently replacing axles.
'67 Volkswagon Type 1 (Beetle - European spec model) - 1600 engine, otherwise all original; currently in restoration to stock.
'90 Mazda MX-5 (convertible) - 1.6L stock engine, Jackson Racing Cold Air Induction, other performance mods, otherwise all original; This thing can hug twisty roads like NOBODY'S business! There's probably a supercharger and a 400hp LS (Corvette) engine in this car's future(!)
'07 Harley-Davidson Road Glide - 96ci Screaming Eagle Stage 1 and Supertrapp pipes.
'07 Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom - Screaming Eagle Stage 1 and slip-ons.
'08 Dodge 1500 (Megacab 4x4) - yes, it's got a Hemi.
My wife has an '04 Honda CRV, but she usually steals the Mazda's keys when I'm not looking. Damn, that's a fun car - who could blame her?
