Michael Tavares:  

Life I am a 31-year-old Mexican-American male. I graduated three times from California State University, Sacramento. I earned a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice, a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and a master of science degree in counseling with a specialization in career counseling. I have prior experience in the military (United States Air Force), law enforcement (Alcoholic Beverage Control) and in the media (KHTK Sports 1140am and the Sacramento Kings). I have also gained experience as a counselor at a local high school, two departments at Sacramento State and for a two-year community college within the Los Rios Community College District. I am now a counselor/instructor for the Los Rios Community College District. I have been with my fiancée Monica, 23, since March 2, 2003. We recently became engaged on Monday, December 25, 2006. Usually we like to stay home and relax by watching television shows, sports or movies. When we do go out, it is out to dinner and/or a movie. We are not into the party scene. School I graduated from Florin High School in 1994, but also attended Hiram Johnson West Campus. College After I graduated from Florin High School, I attended Sac State. I started out as a business administration student but after a few years I declared myself undecided and gave computer science a try. I was not too convinced on that major so I changed it to criminal justice and earned my bachelor of science in that field of study.
