michael's Story
Like many, I have been married a couple of times and have three daughters, two sons, and 16 grandkids. I worked as a Deputy Marshal, District Attorney Investigator, and Sergeant Sheriff, retiring after 39 years. Went to night school for many, many years until pooping out four classes short of my Bachelor’s Degree at Cal St Dominguez. Play racquetball and chess. Currently am President of a 119-unit homeowners’ association (“The Cape’) in San Pedro. Love music, but can’t dance or sing. Not very religious but my kids will probably try to have a Catholic Mass for me even though I’m not Catholic. Politically, I’m a liberal Democrat who believes America never lost its greatness. a rental house in Prescott, AZ, live in a two-story townhouse in San Pedro with Linda, my partner of thirty years, and have one finicky cat (a Tabby), one desktop pc, a laptop, one smart TV, one Samsung Galaxy, two so-so acoustic guitars, two Highlanders and an unknown number of passwords for more than 100 websites. I still have hair, most of my teeth, wear reading glasses and take pills in the morning and evening to prevent ailments I don’t remember. I have great retirement benefits and medical insurance but won’t be able to leave my kids much of an estate. I’ve tried my best, made a few mistakes, suffered some real regrets and received fewer plaudits. I am content, usually . . .
