michael's Story

Hello fellow classmates of 1971. I went on to M.I.T. and got my BS in electrical engineering and computer sciences. I retired from NASA as an Electrical Engineer in 2010, I worked for Delta Airlines as a Capt. Pilot DC10, & DC9, and now reside in Naples, FL. I enjoy every day of retirement. I did a tour of duty in the US Air Force, Viet Nam 1972 as a helicopter pilot but I do not discuss this part of my life much. I try to forget as it was pretty shitty if you know what I mean. This is my our dog Gracie with her little friend. A Fawn.
I wear this when I go out shopping sometimes.
My first airplane. 1947 Ercoupe. Year May 1980
The soccer team we sponsor here in SW Florida. A great bunch of young ladies. And they are quite athletic too. 10-1 so far this season and counting.
The best computer operating system going. Beats MS Windows all to hell.
My labs test chamber at work. Year circa 2002. Microwave measurement testing at its best. We built some excellent Radomes at AFC where I worked.
City TV-Toronto. I put 2ea. 5 meter parabolic microwave antennas on their roof.
It took 3 guys and a boy to load the bullets. Recoil knocked him on his ass. Bet ya he doesn't shoot it much.
Our truck. Its been a real good vehicle. Just put tires on it last week. About broke the bank at $200 per tire. But we needed the off road tires out where we live.
3rd degree
I lived here for about a year. Got away from it all. Ward Burton owns it now. Its a national landmark. Horseshoe Bend Farm, Clover, VA. 1984 year.

Beach Volleyball in Naples, FL Jan. 2018, 80 degrees out and sunny. These girls are part of the team I sponsor. We are now 10 and 1. Pretty good.
A truly fried Welch Breakfast. I enjoy this on Sundays before my meeting.
