Michael's Story
I was a student at Wolfpit Elementary School for just 15 months from Jan 1970 to April 1971. My Dad was an Engish engineer working for an American firm, Perkin Elmer, in Beaconsfield in England. In 1969 he got the chance to work at their plant iny Connecticut (not sure if it was in Norwalk but it was nearby).
The teachers and classmates I had treated me really well - it was a bit of a shock at first (I hadn't been abroad before). I especially remember Mrs Cleary, Mrs Hurley and Mrs D...Expand for more
istefano and I also remember Mr Israel, the principal. I think they were great teachers and although I didn't keep in touch, over the years I've often remembered them and hope I took on board some of what they said.
Do you remember them? Somewhere I have some slide photos I took of them and the police lady who used to help the kids across the street outside the school.
Of my classmates I remember Robert, Bruce, Jerry and Peter but not surnames. Maybe some of you are still in Norwalk?
