Michaela's Story
Life
Hey all... we're right on the cusp of 2008, so I guess it's time to update this thing...
So, graduated from college in May '06, having majored in Psychology and Sociology for four long years. I currently work in claims at a local insurance agency, as well as spend my weekends serving at a local establishment here in Parkersburg, WV. SOO GLAD I spent four years in college just to return to this.
Anyway, I'm the mother of three terrific boys... Luc, 13; Logan, 11; and Simon, 9 months. We live in our little hideaway by the river, quietly and peacefully most days.
Life is pretty chaotic with three children and two jobs, but I consider myself very blessed. I have great friends (who I don't see enough), a wonderful family (two sisters are my best friends), and lots on my plate. Couldn't ask for more, except for a vacation... How you doin'?
College
I truly love what I'm studying. The mind's processes and differences in societies and cultures are two things that fascinate me the most. My goal for this year is to finish my work as the presid...Expand for more
ent of the Multicultural Awareness Coalition of West Virginia University-Parkersburg, graduate with a great GPA, get in as much time with my college friends as possible before I move... that's it in a nutshell.
Workplace
I currently work at the Mid-Ohio Valley Fellowship Home in the women and children's program. I absolutely love what I do... I get to make a daily difference in someone's life as they learn how to do the next right thing. I will certainly miss it when I move, but it has certainly touched, enriched, and forever impacted my life.
Military
Hm... well, I guess this is the part where I say that I never enlisted in the military. I have both of my parents and a few stepfathers to thank for that. However, being a Navy brat, I also met many, many people while traveling around with my folks in uniform, some who worked with my parents and some who didn't. Feel free to give me a shout if you remember me, or maybe one of the following parents, stepparents: Terry G. Weston, Catherine Smith Weston Joyce Sewell, Kevin Joyce, Raymond P. Sewell.
