Michelle's Story
Life
Upon graduating from GHS in 1978, I attended the University of Southern California, earning a BA in Political Science in 1982. While there, I served in the Joint Educational Project tutoring Spanish speaking kindergarteners. I also interned with three legal/political organizations: a private attorney, the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, and a major political committee in Washington, DC.
Through USC's foreign exchange program, I attended St. Mary's College of the University of London from 1980-1981. I traveled to Italy, studying Art History; to Wales to visit friends; to Germany to visit my brother during Christmas and Easter break; and throughout Western Europe during the summer - just for fun.
I continue to enjoy traveling. In my youth, I loved the mountains and the thrill of more vigorous activities: skiing, hiking, and biking. I've begun to mellow with age and now enjoy swimming, boating and snorkeling in pristine tropical waters.

982 with the intention of establishing domicile prior to applying to UVA or W&M Law School, but instead, I married a great guy and had 4 delightful children.
Throughout the years, I've been involved in several business ventures. I've also been a freelance writer for both local and national publications, which is ironic considering I was voted "Most Likely to be seen with her nose in a book" in high school!
My husband and I will celebrate our 25th Anniversary in 2009! My daughter (21) is an Analytical Chemist. My son (19) chose to work rather than go to college, but he's on his own and doing fine. My youngest daughter (16) is an active community volunteer, went on a mission trip to Japan, and will be working in a doctor's office this summer. Last year, we nixed her plans to go to Fiji for 3 weeks to help indigent children, so she plans to go in 2009, when she's 18! Once my youngest son (14)graduates, I'll be either pursuing book publishing and/or a legal career.
