Michelle's Story
Life
After high school I went to the U of M for a year, then moved to California in 2003 to go to UC Santa Cruz and study Marine Biology. I worked in a marine lab as a research assistant and marine mammal trainer for 3 years, working with seals and sea lions. I moved to France for a year and taught English. Now I'm back, and missing Europe. I worked a few not-so-thrilling jobs before recently landing my dream job, but in Florida, so I moved again. Other than that, I'm often off ballroom dancing and picking up new forms of dance (currently learning Tango and Salsa). Sleep is my hobby, I do it on rare occasions.
College

at the U of M I transfered to UCSC (the SF Bay Area is awesome). I graduated in '05 with degrees in Marine Biology and Neuroscience and Behavior. This resulted in nearly a year of naps to catch up on sleep.
Workplace
Although not looking for it, I recently was offered my dream job as a Senior Marine Mammal Trainer at Gulf World in Florida. Highlights of my working life have been teaching CPR/First Aid for the Red Cross for about 3 years, teaching English in France for a year (very cool, very French...), working in Customer Assistance at a Software Company in the Silicon Valley, and being an English teacher at a Chinese Bilingual school.
