Michelle's Story
Well, I'm still in the general Lafayette area. I got married in 92 (wow, 16 years) to Chris, a local boy, and we have a teenaged son named Tommy. My son is awesome. He totally cracks me up everyday. I usually torture him to some degree every day--singing disco in the car, dancing in public, asking him about the girls he likes. He just rolls his eyes and shakes his head and tells me that I am weird. He's short like I was, but I almost have him convinced that it's not forever. He's really smart and will earn enough money to take care of me forever!!!!

rtment and went from someone who never voted to someone who stays up late to watch the returns. A total political geek. I started out as the receptionist, but now am the depts website designer. I also help my faculty with the many issues they have. But aside from a few, I adore them all. They have been very supportive of me in my (very) late pursuit of a degree. I finally received my Associates degree in 2006. I hope to continue one day, but I'm realistic about the market for a nearly 50 college grad.
