Michelle's Story
School
I was so happy to graduate from High School. I had fun while I was there but really wanted to move on. I was so shy and uncertain about myself back then (as I think we all were) and I think it is amazing that I did have as many friends and I had back then! Looking back now, I wish I would have been a bit more outgoing and joined in more rather than sit back and watch.
College
I had fun in college, I moved out of my parent's house and lived with some really interesting girls who taught me a lot (mostly about patience and how to shar...Expand for more
e a bathroom with seven others). I majored in Psychology and Child Development, and eventually decided to go back to school again to get my masters in Elementary Education. After my brother passed away I decided that Elementary Education wasn't what I really wanted to do and now i'm have a masters in Early Childhood Special Education and an endorsement in Autism.
Workplace
I love my job I work with children who have special needs from ages birth to three. I love the kids and families on my caseload and can't imagine doing anything different!
