Michelle's Story
Life
I was a member of the Red Raider Marching and Concert Bands. Now, I am a music teacher in Bourne and own my own music store, MUsic of the Bay in East Wareham. I teach kindergarten through 4th grade music in the schools and teach every instrument, except drums and banjo, at my store. I have 12 other teachers working for me and we service about 200 students. I am married and have 3 boys, ages 16 14 and 12.
My best memories from high school revolve around the band. I remember the trip to New York, endless competitions, bus rides and parties. I'd love to reconnect with other band members. I saw Mark Sampson at Mr. Hahn's 80th birthday party and we discussed maybe having a band reunion. Any takers??

acher who most inspired me. He was my mentor. I am a music teacher today because of his example and ability to get me to reach for the stars. When I did my student teaching in college, I went back to Watertown and studied with Mr. Hahn again. It was freaky seeing many of my old elementary and high school teachers as plain folks. The things they do in those teacher's rooms!!
College
I went to Emmanuel College before they started letting those boys in! I lived on campus even though one bus would have gotten me there in 45 minutes. My mom had just had a baby (who is now 24!!) and I couldn't imagine getting any work done in a house full of kids. Living at school helped me learn how to balance fun and work. I'm pretty good at it now.
