Michelle's Story
Life
Wow - with 10 years already having passed, they only give you 4000 words to sum your life story?!
In a nutshell: worked at a church camp for 2 summers in Oklahoma after high school graduation and also attended a Bible college (which I am sure really "surprises" those who knew me) for 2 years in Dallas, TX where I met my (ex)-husband. We married in Nov. '98 in Phoenix, AZ and resided in Dallas another year before moving to Phoenix. After 5 years of marriage, we went our separate ways in Nov. of '03. Note: first boyfriends aren't always the greatest husbands. 8| I must say that the "school of life" began during my second year of marriage after the move to Arizona although the lessons didn't quite prove to be beneficial in my marriage. After parting our ways (amicably mind you), he allowed me to keep the house and convertible - don't worry, he kept the new truck! lol - Thankfully, we had no kids to endure the emotional pain of the divorce.
I presently work in Apartment Management as an Assistant, which position I have held for almost 5 years, to 3/9 Corporate employees and love it. We're all pretty much family and the Happy Hours are great! :) Yes, I now drink. And have 2 tattoos. And highlights. ...Expand for more
I have been converted to the dark side. Just kidding about being converted to the dark side...tatts are real, though. Laugh. It's been 10 years. :/
Past jobs I have had (since Dallas): versatility in the fine dining business (worked in the restaurants (2) at the Dallas Symphony Center for 3 1/2 years as a bus-girl/server/bartender/desert host/hostess/cashier/assistant...security guard in both Dallas and Phoenix...temp for the State of Arizona Health Department and now Apartment Management). I know, I know - I think the bartending in Dallas corrupted me - although the marriage drove me to the "real" drinking - lol.
Am currently single and live at home with my 3 husky/shepard/wolf mix hybrids (Jazz, Chevy and Dakota), 2 cats (Baby and Shadow) and 2 gold fish (Cheech and Chong). I don't claim the neighborhood strays.
My main "hobby" is traveling. I do often trips to Rocky Point, Mexico (the beach and Dos Equis are a dream...as well as the dollar taco stands!). :) Besides, I like to maintain my tan...what can I say? Among the traveling is: Minnesota, Kansas and Vegas...love the lights!
Well, this is my nutshell. Hope I entertained at least one person...and if you're ever in Phoenix, stop and say 'hi'!
