I moved in with my then boyfriend, now husband Nick Smith(1996)and his friends Tim and Sean Cook. All went well for a year and then Nick and I bought a Townhouse in Fairfax(near GMU)and lived there for 5 years...Nick and I were married September 23, 2000 at Holy Spirit. On August 14, 2002 we had a beautiful little girl ~ Amber Cadence (photo is my "now" picture). We then bought a house out in Nokesville, VA and then in Bealeton, VA. Making a decent buck everytime thanks to the great real estate market! :) Nick was a state inspector and an auto mechanic, working for his dad and awaiting June 29th 2005, when he shipped off with the NAVY to work on Super Hornet (Jet) Engines :( During which we moved in with my parents back in Annandale, VA to save money while he was gone (no mortgage!) It's was quite a huge transition, but it was all for the best. I've worked all over (Post Office, Hecht's Loss Prevention Manager, Juvenile Court, Washington Mutual, P/T Lowe's...) and finally I was able to stay at home with our 2 year old tornado! You just can't trust anyone for day care and damn if it doesn't cost more than you make! Since writing the above, we got stationed down in Virginia Beach at Oceana Naval Air Station and moved in with his Mom and storage for just over a year. ...Expand for more
