Michelle's Story
I have a pretty complicated story. I don't even remember half of it. Suffice it to say that I spent 40+ years trying to figure out the magic formula that would make Daddy love me, only to find out that there is no such thing - he just won't. Not my fault, not my problem. So I have half a life spent in the futile search for love in all the wrong places (cue violin), a million apologies and amends to make (cue 12-step slogan machine) and a much happier outlook on what I have left of my life.
The aftermath: Two failed marriages, chronic under-education, long line of bad jobs that I sabotaged, lots of debt, lots of people who don't trust me as far as they could throw me, which isn't far because I weigh too much.
The good news: All of my kids still love...Expand for more
me, I've never been to jail, had an auto accident, or got a traffic ticket (proof that G-d loves me), I've never been sued, I still have a couple of friends that still love me as much as ever, I no longer have any bad habits (except computer solitaire), I love myself.
I now live in Clovis, California. Two of my three kids are on their own, the youngest has a way to go yet. I look after my father (yes, the one who will never love me but it's OK), and I'm self-employed, selling promotional products. I have a lovely apartment with space to grow stuff. I'm dating, but not pursuing anything of any seriousness (Is that a word?). I just found my power and I'm not too interested in sharing it or giving it away.
My life is good and I'm happy.
