June 2008, updated Jan 2011 My wife Suzanne and I met in LA in 1989, when we both worked for Hughes Aircraft. I was doing programming and she was the HR administrator for our division. We got married in 1991, and decided to find a small town to raise a family. In 1993, my brother Andy and his first wife Sheri had recently moved back to Grass Valley from Tarrytown, NY after Sheri finished her dental degree at NYU. Andy phoned with a job advertised on the front page of the Union for a sofware engineer at Eigen, a medical imaging company in Nevada City. I got the job at Eigen, and we moved back to Grass Valley in January 1994. Our older son David was born in Dec 1995, and Ryan was born in July 1998. Suzanne grew up in the San Fernando Valley (Van Nuys, Reseda, Birmingham High, Cal Poly SLO '84, LMU MBA '92). She loves camping, travel, being near the ocean, scrapbooking, animals and wildlife, reading, and sudoku. David graduated from NU in the class of 2014 and attends my alma mater UCSB. Ryan graduated from NU in the class of 2016 and attends UNR. Go Pack! I enjoy riding my mountain bike to work, timing mountain bike races, and getting out on real trails when I can. Other than that I'm a confirmed 'townie'. We live about 4 blocks from NU.
