Mike's Story
Life
2 great daughters and a great wife. Doing well, and missing everyone.
School
Old Dixie Elementary (Fla)... Went back 20 years later, the exact day they took down the monkey bars. Man, I missed that place. They came down mid 90s I think it was.
Maddison Middle (Fla)... What a shock! Moving up in the world! Only to find out how big the world was from this point out in my life. Left there to move to Virginia, my stepfather was in the military, so off I go from school to school!
For Hunt (Va) - What a blast. Freshman and Softmore year, band was the best. State champs, 2nd east coast.
Kwajalein (Marshall Islands) - Spent my junior and part of my senior years here. This was a place that you just have to visit to believe. I miss my friends there, would love to see the place again. Becky, I wish you well.
Astronaut HS (Fl) After half a year at Kwaj, I came back to Florida to goto HS with my old friends from Old Dixie and Maddison. Wow, folks sure change over the years! James Center, Kenneth, Joey, etc, was good to see you folks again, but I just could not adjust. Left school
Dorman HS (SC) Rejoined HS for my senior year again, and made a ton of good friends. Senior year was a blast, and we all learned a lot. Maria - Sorry, from...Expand for more
the bottom of my heart.
From here, I spent a little time in college at USCS, but joined the military soon after. Off to Schwetzingen Germany!
All in all, I enjoyed school a ton. I dearly miss my old friends, and envy those neighbors of mine that still have their elementary friends over for BBQs these days. I don't regret being in a military family, because of the places I got to see, but in reallity, friends cannot replace trips across the world.
I miss you all very much. If you read this profile, please don't be shy, send me an email just to catch up on old times. Maybe one day we'll see each other again, if not in this life.
God Bless
Mike Wheeler (Bryant)
Workplace
After a decade and a half in systems design, I walked away from the computer world, and entered the Home Depot world in hopes of moving up the ranks. That was a big mistake, but I could not deal with systems much more.
Good with construction, I got into contract work, and soon landed a job as a Construction Manager for Greystone Homes here in Phoenix AZ.
Military
4 years in the Army, programming. Saw every part of Europe I could. Saw Roger Waters, from Pink Floyd, perform The Wall AT the Berlin Wall. Woot! One memory in my military years I won't forget.
