Ann Thigpen and I just celebrated our 54th. Anniversary !! We are both retired. Ann is a retired kindergarten teacher with 36 years of service. I retired as a Sr. Cpl. with the Texas Dept. of Public Safety- Highway Patrol with 30 + years of service . Prior to joining DPS , I coached football in McAllen for two years. I loved coaching, but the rest was not for me ! Even in high school, I wanted to be a highway patrolman ! Currently , I am a Special Texas Ranger. We travel a lot, but we keep it in the USA !! We travel to Harlingen when possible, but our 2009 experience did not make us happy !! Our car was burglarized at the hotel ! We cut our trip short ! We really enjoyed our 50 Year HHS Reunion in 2018 ! I have had both hips replaced , one knee surgery, currently waiting on shoulder surgery and fighting against back surgery !!
