Mike's Story
After graduating High School I enlisted in the Navy. I stayed in 21 years and served on three ships. The USS Wichita, USS Halsey and USS Proteus. I was also stationed at Subic Bay Philipopines from '76-'78 at the Fuel Depot. Subic is where I mat my first wife Lina and step-son John. We had Karen in 1977 born at the Cubi Point Naval Hospital. went on another deployment in 1984 and during this deployment met Dina. We were married in '85. I retired from the NBavy in 1993 and went to work for a plastics manufacturing plant in Orlando, Florida. I worked there for 11 years. I left there in 2005 and got a position as a Maintenance Superintendent at the University of Central Florida. Dina and I have two children, Maryann and Mike. I also have six grandchildren. Karen has 4, 3 girls and 1 boy. John has 2, 1 boy and 1 girl. Dina and i celebrated our 30th anniversary this year.
