Mike's Story

Procreation has produced 3 children and 2 awesome grandchildren. Wild, huh? After High School joined U.S. Air Force. After USAF worked as a cook and chef while attending Teterboro School of Aeronautics. After gradualting TSA, worked at Curtiss-Wright building and testing j-57 jet engines. After that, worked in management of aircraft maintenance personnel at Newark International Airport. After that was North American manager of sales for technology company. I saw some really old "hard drives". A whole 10 megabyte ( woohoooo) drive was the size of a washing machine, tape drives were the size of refrigerators and the first "portable" computers weighed like 40 pounds and were the size of a piece of luggage. We've come a long way, eh? Now I have thumb drives the size of peanuts that can hold gigabytes of memory. Wild! After that- started my own technology business in 1990. Went through an amicable de-marriage-ification process from my betrothal unit in 1992. Actually dated Ms New Jersey for a short time. She was a tad self centered and I extricated myself from that situation. Yeesh. Sold that tech biz in 1999 and went to work for entertainment industry business as a partner. I got to work with or for some great artists: Kid Rock, Christina Aguilera ( I actually got to help her mom Shelly Kearns set up Christina's fan mail account, over the phone), Uncle Kracker, Lil Bow Wow, Tommy Lee, Boston, Terror Squad, Snoop Dogg, Shania Twain and many more. Interesting work. Started a hand made cigar brand in 2004 ( Leuzzi Fumar Cigars ) simultaneous with the entertainment industry business. My brother Chuck traveled from his home in Vegas to visit Ohio in 2006, and was killed by a train. I miss him. That's all I have to say about that. Quit that ( entertainment industry business as a partner ) in 2007 and started my own entertainment industry and web SEO business. I have plans to start a recording label with a witty name. TBA if that comes to fruition. Frust! For all of these years I kept my copy...Expand for more
of the Westlake HS concert band album in good shape, along with one of the most awesome rock, punk, jazz, blues, opera and classical music collections ever which I collected during my travels around this planet. Welp, I moved to West Palm Beach, and temporarily stored my records ( and my yearbook ) at my mother's house in Painesville, OH. As luck would have it, some moron with an apparently dysfunctional calculator allowed Ryan Homes to build a development down the road and miscalculated the amount of water the drainage system could handle. After last winter's snowmelt, my mothers basement flooded. There went my albums, my yearbook, my Air Force pics ( I worked with missiles, bombs and various nukes ) and a lot of other things I saved. Since I've been in West Palm I've been trying to rebuild that record collection. I'm finding out just ow rare and irreplaceable a lot of those albums are. With the help of a new friend here and by scrounging high and low I have managed to replace a few thousand of the classical and opera albums, and ome rock, jazz and blues. But NOBODY seems to have a great punk comp album "Let them eat Jellybeans", some Wishbone Ash, rare, rare Beatles , Bloodrock, Sensational Alex Harvey Band, and many others. But, my ebony wood clarinet survived. It was above the water line. Luckily. Anyway- with regards to the great flood.... Moral of the story: You can send a moron to engineering school, but you can't make him think. I hear engineering degrees are a dime a dozen....I'm looking for the jerk that's supplying the dimes! South Florida is HOT in the summer. Decided a few weeks ago ( June 2011 ) to move northward a few degrees of latitude to get away from this crazy heat. Quiz: How does one contact an old classmate who's curious about where everyone might be? mikelewissr AT gmail DOT com perhaps? Not sure. Maybe.Could be. Hmmm. There's only one way to find out, I guess. That's pretty much where I stand today. Well actually- working on the computer I sit. Waddya want from me?
