Mike's Story
Start:
Born in Salyersville, and lived there until 1967 (Jr year in Magoffin Co HS) when I moved to Valparaiso, Indiana, graduated from Liberty Township High School, Chesterton, Indiana - class of 69.
Military:
Enlisted in U.S. Army in May, 1969, as an Armor Crewman (Tanks). Served in CONUS and Germany through May, 1971, with last duty station in 8th Infantry, 5th Bn, 68th Armor, Mannheim, Germany.
Family:
Married the "beautiful and talented" Kathy Rattray in 1972 ...Expand for more
and we have three "beautiful and talented" children: Jennifer, Ryan and Sarah - they take after their mom!
Career:
Spent 4 years as a field service technician in commercial / industrial HVAC, and 34 years developing and managing corporate real estate (office and data center facilities) in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and North Carolina
Finish:
Retired from my last company in January of 2010 and relocated to Louisville, Ky - the "finish" is hopefully still some time off!
