We can not tell what may happen to us in the strange medley of life. But we can decide what happens in us, how we take it, what we do with it - - and that is what really counts in the end. Joseph Fort Newton
The capacity for getting along with our neighbor depends to a large extent on the capacity for getting along with ourselves. The self-respecting individual will try to be as tolerant of his neighbor's shortcomings as he is of his own. Self-righteousness is a manifestation of self-contempt. When we are conscious of our worthlessness, we naturally expect others to be finer and better than we are. We demand more of them than we do of ourselves, and it is as if we wished to be disappointed in them. EHoffer
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile. (unk)
Sometimes it seems that people hear best what we do not say. EHoffer

that they love us. 2- It is well to treasure the memories of past misfortunes, they constitute our bank of fortitude. Eric Hoffer
"It is easier to love humanity as a whole than to love one's neighbor - - A low capacity for getting along with those near us often goes hand in hand with a high receptivity to the idea of the brotherhood of men." EHoffer
"If you don't have enemies, you don't have character. " Paul Newman (thanks Eric)
"We are what we repeatedly do, excellence then is not an act, but a habit." -Aristotle".
More about mike:""Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about his religion.
Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours.
Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life.
Seek to make your life long and of service to your people.
Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.
Always give a word or sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend,
or even a stranger, if in a lonely place.
Show respect to all people, but grovel to none.
When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light,
for your life, for your strength.
Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living.
If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself.
Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools
and robs the spirit of its vision.
When your time comes to die,
be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death,
so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time
to live their lives over again in a different way.
Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home."
- Tecumseh
