Mindi's Story
Life
Hi everyone! I'm on my space, too. Well, right now I'm a stay at home mom with a 9 month old son, Carter. He's the light of his mommy and daddy's lives. I'm married to a Mt. Spokane High School grad, Matt. He actually went to school with my little sister, Krissi. My dad passed away May 12th, 2005 of bone cancer. It was a pretty tough time for the whole family. But my pregnancy and the birth of our boy got us all through it. I also sang in a local cover band in and around Spokane until I got pregnant. We started out being called O2. We had 6 band members (me, my friend Angie, a male singer, drummer, bass and guitar player). Then we became Impact and that eventually whittled down to 4 of us. They're still doing gigs in Coeur d' Alene this summer. I'd like to rejoin with them at some point. Anyway, I'd love to hear from all of you! Let me know what you're up to....Expand for more
School
I LOVED being a cheerleader my senior year. It was a great opportunity. At my time there being a cheerleader or an athlete was like being a school celebrity. I had a lot of great teachers at Mead but the two that stick out for me are Mr. Schultz and Mrs. Bouten. Mr. Shultz was a teacher that not everyone liked but I just adored. He had a teaching style that really spoke to me. And Mrs. Bouten, well, everyone just loved her because she didn't treat her students as thought they were kids - she treated us all like adults.
College
At U of Idaho I studied dance. It was one of the greatest times of my life. I met a lot of wonderful people including some girls I still call friends to this day. It cost me an arm and a leg but I would never give up my college experience for anything. I graduated May 2000 with a degree in dance education (not that I'm using it now).
