Miriam's Story
Life
Unlike many (dare I say, probably most?), I still live in Frayser! Yep! But if you're interested in a cheap house, we're practically trying to give ours away. Call me! LOL
I've spent the past 30 years as a medical transcriptionist for various healthcare facilities in the area. I just left a position as supervisor of medical transcription at Baptist in Memphis, and am once again doing the entrepreneur thing (which I had done previously for about 15 years, until about 3 years ago). Technology in this field is a delightful thing for us dinosaurs, and it's an exciting time to be wildcatting!
My husband and I have raised two children, who are now grown and on their own. We are also raising one granddaughter, the lovely Vera Beth (yes, named for my mother, for those of you who may remember), and have three more beaut...Expand for more
iful granddaughters: Rachael, Alexis, and Winter Ember (who is just 3 days old as of today, 05/23/07!). I am a member of the choir at Bellevue Baptist Church and still loving it there so much.
I enjoy music (of course), spending time with friends, old and new, and I still think I may have a book or two in me that need to be written. I'm now accepting contributions from those who wish to remain anonymous. : )
Our dream is to move to East TN within the next couple of years or so and live in the mountains, but who knows ... you may still find us right here in FrayserHaven when you check back on us from time to time.
God has blessed us so much, and for that we are truly grateful. Let me leave you with one of my favorite verses when thinking of old friends: "I thank my God on every remembrance of you." (Philippians 1:3)
