still writing and acting. have a book out, Mirrors Within Mirrors available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. working on 2 more plus scripts and a monthly newsletter for tbe Tampa Bay Film Society. wonder how many of us are still alive? Great news! "We Three Witches," the short movie I wrote and produced last summer with my writing partner has been accepted in the Gasparilla Film Festival to be held in late March in Tampa! That means we will have a lanyard and card saying we are filmmakers which lets us go to any film in the festival free and attend all the parties. This is the second of our films that made it into a festival. "Murder! It's For The Birds! was nominated Best Comedy at a Sarasota festival. See, ya'll, it's never too late!! Right? Just went to a premiere of an Indie short movie I had a major part in and everyone, including my acting coach has been insisting I should get a new headshot and get back in the game! So I have. We will see. Mostly been writing newsletters and short films. The newest one "We Three Witches" is a comedy and almost out of post production. Didn't act in that one, just wrote and produced it with my writing partner. I do miss California, though. Everyone in my family lives either in California or Las Vegas except my youngest son David and me. But then, I have a lot of friends here in Florida, and as the locals say, "I got sand in my shoes," which means, so they also say, that you can never leave. Ha ha. Life My Spouse I'm widowed again. My husband Dale died last year.. My first, Frank, died at 40 and my second, Ed was on a boat that disappeared at sea in 1982. I still live in Florida, have now written and produced 9 short films, including one that was nominated for "Best Short Comedy". Have a very funny sitcom pilot, Almost Legit my writing partner and I are shopping around, but it's pretty hard to do, not being in L.A. Professionals here who have read it say it's very commercial. Ah life! Life is still full of surprises, so we will see. My professional name remains Miriam Goodspeed, otherwise I could conceivably sign myself Miriam McAnern Goodspeed Berkelhammer Johnson, whew!
