Misty's Story
Hey folks, remember me? You probably don't and if you do it is for infamous reasons. Well, everyone has to be known for something, right? As for after high school life looked much better for me. After being stuffed in a school atmosphere where I didn't fit into, belong, to, and being an outcast my "real" me came out.
I realized that I did not have to be afraid and definitely came out of my shell. I went to college (Dean's honor roll student even with two kids), got married, and had my kids. I am a tireless advocate for disability rights (my son has autism) and use my experien...Expand for more

The most memorable thing about 1992 was when Nirvana came out. I remember growing up on all the hair-band stuff and upon hearing Nirvana I knew instantly that the end of the crap we listened to was near. It was one heck of an epiphany and I knew it.
1992 was also memorable because I truly came of age. Remember the movie "Inkwell"? A 16-year old goes to the black section of Martha's vineyard and is a little odd and quirky-like I was (and still am). He learns to accept himself and begins his path into adulthood. In a nutshell, that was my life in 1992.
