Mitch's Story

Life After high school I went to work at Teen Auto Club then took off for England and Europe for 3 months on an incredible trip backpacking through Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany (west as this was before the fall of the wall) France, Monaco, Denmark, Sweden and more. It was a fantastic trip and made a few great friends. There are 193 countries in the world, so I have some travelling yet to do. I came back broke with bills so I became a K-Mart Manager for a few years and left that to help my mother start and build her jewelry business after she had been disabled in a car accident. I was Married in 1979 and adopted her daughter and sister and we produced 2 more of our own. We had 5 terrific years and 7 more of pain -- divorcing after 12 years. I retained custody of the 4 children then married a woman who had adopted 7 as a single parent. She is a brilliant woman with a heart a little larger than Texas and fun and l...Expand for more
oyal and my own personal miracle. So we ended up with 11 children, total 5 girls and 6 boys --most with disabilities. Obviously this has demanded my full attention so travel has ended. We've had many tough times but we are still together since 1992. I've been teaching most of this time and running my own business called the Computer Tutor - LA ever since. I've acquired another business to work concurrently with the computer tutor -- Tutors4Computer so now I have tutors that specialize in different programs. In August, my daughter Chelsea and her husband Cully had their first child, Elijah. What a joy! Taking some time for family, I bike ride with my dad nearly every week who turns 81 in January 2010. Someone asked me if I am content. I am happily in pursuit of living life fully with passion and zest and view contentment something to enjoy when I'm ready to quit living and start dying. So NO, I am NOT content and happily so.

Like our country, a work of ideals carved from the efforts of great leaders that we have yet to fully realize. The promise spurs us to carry on.

Didn't realize that Crazy Horse Memorial is so large that Mount Rushmore would fit inside just the head.
