Mo's Story
Life
Married with 3 kids: Daughter, Lena, born on my birthday in '92, now age 16, became a Bat Mitzvah in 2005, Junior in high school.(!) Son, Max, turned 13 this year in March, is in eighth grade, actually enjoys piano. Unprompted, he commits most of his songs to memory within a day or two. Son, Charlie, the wild man, always smiling and thinking of others.
Each year my kids move up a grade, and get a new teacher, I always compare them to the teachers I had in that grade. Those of you who went to Roosevelt remember Miss Knowles, Miss Morrison?
I've been riding in the bicycle tour most of the past 20 years (TOSRV), so I make it back to P-town at least once or twice a year.
My parents, Larry and Phyllis still have a home in Portsmouth, out on Tipton Lane. Yes, where the camp...Expand for more
used to be, but different house, opposite end of the lane. Sold the house on Stagecoach.
Somehow I managed to get through college, with a 6-month stay in Israel and a year working in Columbus during my (painfully long) senior year (years?). Sometimes I look back and wonder, "Well, how did I get here?" singing the tune in my head to "Same as it ever was" by The Talking Heads.
Now that I have kids, I've heard people say they'll be worse then you ever were. Hard to imagine in my case. How did we ever make it through all that?
My wife, Karen, and I now make Durham, NC home, and I am a partner in a small IT/management consulting firm.
