Monica Saavedra:  

I attended my last 2 years of high school in Alabama, then Walker College (in Jasper, AL) and the U. of Alabama where I studied education, and got my "MRS" degree. Married nearly 37 years, I have 4 grown children, all independent and university grads, and I have 4 grand children. I'm grateful for having had opportunities to visit several foreign countries, the most recent one being China. Presently I'm in the process of moving to Smyrna, TN (Nashville area) from Knoxville, TN. I am pretty proficient in Spanish and enjoy many international friends. I have instructed law enforcement, medical personnel, business people, social workers in Spanish, and have done some interpretation in court. I've lived in 6 states since Michigan, plus Bolivia (South America). There's no place like the wonderful U.S.A.!!! I make church a priority; it's one of my favorite places, and where I continue to meet new friends and stay in practice with music and singing.
