Monique's Story
Life
Hi everyone, I think of so many of you so often. Life isn't exactly what I imagined it would be when I was 18 but it isnt't too bad. I currently work as a teacher at Juvenile Hall of all places. The pressure still gets to me and I still wish the world were a simpler more honest place. It hurts me deeply to see the pain humans inflict on one another. I still believe that people want to be good but I don't think they try very hard. I'm intensly worried about posterity, they seem lacking in some basic human skills. It chills me to the bone.
A bit of an update. In 2001 I quit working and stayed at home with my daughter. She is now 17!!! She got into a bit of trouble and gave me a gorgeous baby grandson on Jan 4, 2008. I am helping her mak...Expand for more

I did forget to mention I am married to a wonderful man who treats me so very well. He had an aortic dissection in the fall of 2007. Thankfully he is still with me 3 years later. We are beating the odds with this thing. On Dec 16 or 2010 we will have been married 10 years.
My grandson is now 2. This is very hard to believe! He is so awesome. I am really enjoying him. My husband thinks he is the greatest. I think he may love him more than I do if that's possible.
My daughter continues the trials and tribulations of growing up. She works, goes to school and deals with a real jerk of a boyfriend. Hopefully she will grow tired of being treated like crap soon.
Well not much more to say. Life is good.
