Mykl's Story

Life The executive summary: I have an amazing son, a real individualist, who turned 18 in February 2006. I was a single parent for most of his life. I've spent my adult life mostly working and playing at the things I love. I've never held a permanent full-time job, and have been self-employed since my twenties. Today, I own a small production company, and work as a producer, director and writer, mostly on television and interactive projects. As oh so many business owners will tell you, working for yourself often means working a great deal more than "full-time", with a tyrant for a boss. But I wouldn't have it any other way, and cannot imagine ever "retiring". st of things I urgently want to do grows longer with every new experience and idea. I cannot remember the last time I was bored. These several sentences trace no more than a blurry outline of a life, answering but a few of the obvious questions we ask when we bump into a long lost 'mate. Really, it's the seemingly little things -- too many, too diverse and often too long forgotten to recount in the few free minutes I have as I type here -- that shape and define a life. Given the twists and surprises of both my life and the people I've known, I've lost touch with many friends and acquaintances.
